WTW Awards Scholarship to BSIT Students October 14, 2024

On September 20, 2024, Willis Towers Watson (WTW) awarded full scholarships to two BS IT freshmen from PHINMA Laguna, Summer Palentinos and Lance Anonuevo. These students will receive four years of financial support, including monthly stipends and laptops, as part of WTW’s Developing the Leader Within You (DLWY) program.

Developing the Leader Within You (DLWY) is part of the Transformational Leadership program that leaders in WTW undergo to establish a solid foundation of leadership through a proven framework and laws of leadership. It also talks about the growth mindset, the laws of growth, and how to develop emotional intelligence to manage emotions and stress, practice active listening, develop empathy and build stronger relationships.

Through supportive mentoring by coaches Ardy Abello and Bernard Marquez, and the support of senior leadership, this inspired one group of leaders to push for their proposed advocacy of helping aspiring students through education-funding and a mentoring program to help the scholars become successful.

This would also not have been possible without the help of the rest of the “Developing the Leader Within You” alumni who were very generous with their time and financial contributions.
